Australia's Josh Hazlewood, M Marsh appointed joint vice captains

Australia have appointed two news vice captains for Test, Pacer Josh Hazlewood and All Rounder Mitchell Marsh after lengthy selection process on Sept 27.

both will support Tim Paine emerging as permanent replacements for David Warner. Former captain Steve Smith was banned for a year while Cameron Bancroft was suspended for nine months after trying to alter the condition of the ball during the third test against the Proteas.

 Josh Hazelwood becomes only the theirs specialist pacer to ever hold the vice captain. M Marsh is following in the footsteps of his father, was vice captain under Allan border in the late 80s and early 90s.

Josh has been shown he is a leader among the playing group, and we felt it was important to have a representative from the bowling group, He is calm under pressure, communicate well and leads by example on and off the field.

He is an extremely popular member of the tea,m he has great humility, and given his lineage , he understand of the team, he understand and respect the responsibility which comes with representing Australians.

M Marsh has at times been a divisive figure among fans and his disciplinary record is not unblemished his most recent indescretion came when he was fined for using offensive language during second test against South Africa.

Selection of Vice-captain , process followed a poll from Australian current players, both were present to a panel that would further make Cricket Australia their recommendation.

Panel comprised J Langer, Former Test captains Greg Chappel and Mark Taylor, CA Board charman D Peever, high performance boss Pat HOward, Selection chief Trevor Hohns and psychologist Dr. Michel Loyd
